YTB Travel & Cruises Presented With
Carnival's Highest Award
We are proud to announce that Carnival Cruise Lines has
awarded YTB Travel & Cruises its highest award - The Pinnacle
Award - for Production and Outstanding Partnership. Ann
Sedgwick, Business Development Director for Carnival Cruise
Lines, visited the home office on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 to
make the presentation to Kim Sorensen, President of YTB Travel
& Cruises. Less than 175 travel agencies in the United States
and Canada are recipients of this recognition of an agency’s
tremendous support of Carnival Cruise Lines. Everyone at YTB
was on hand for this special event. Thanks to all of our RTAs
who support Carnival as we continue to grow and become the
largest online travel agency in the world!

DENVER CRTA DRAWS ENTHUSIASTIC CROWD |
|
 |
|
|
CEO Scott Tomer and Circle of
Champions member Jeanie Sharpless presented the Denver CRTA last
weekend to a great crowd of over 160 enthusiastic RTAs. Jennifer
Vandygriff and Sarah Hartman from the Travel Support Department
assisted with the registration and throughout the day.
Jeanie said, “I would like to make a point of
thanking Jennifer and Sarah, as well as everyone in Customer
Support who helps at these events.
|
|
They work behind the scenes
and do not always receive the recognition they deserve.
They get up early to be on hand to handle registration,
they put books together, they run errands, they sit there
all day to help, then they pack up and rush back home!
Thanks everyone so much!”

Jennifer Vandygriff,
YTB Leader Jeanie Sharpless, and Sarah Hartman |
Jeanie was due to fly out of Denver on
Sunday but a big blizzard changed her plans. The airport
was closed due to 20-24 inches of snow! RTAs Diane and
Fred Hale, who attended the Certification, along with
their son Kevin, called her on Monday and offered to
“rescue her” from her hotel room. Jeanie spent the day
with them, even doing her Monday night ‘Getting Started
with YTB’ training call from their home. She finally
arrived back home Tuesday evening and wants to thank
Diane, Fred and Kevin for their hospitality and for being
an outstanding example of our caring YTB family.
Jeanie concentrates on the travel side
of YTB at the Certification seminar, explaining that CRTA
is advanced training in managing your online travel
agency. She also focuses on the Back Office and the wealth
of information available there through the RTA and Rep
Resource Center pages. Jeanie stresses that it is vitally
important for all RTAs to become Certified. Not only does
it make you eligible to obtain your CLIA card, but the
advanced training you receive is invaluable. |
